Who we are
fast.video is a product of Theseus AI ("Theseus", "we", "us"), the company behind Director.video. These terms are an agreement between you and Theseus AI. Questions: [email protected].
The service
fast.video is an API that turns prompts, pictures, reference pictures and sound into video clips using AI models we run or license. It is offered as a Beta: features change, generations can fail, and we may limit usage to keep the service healthy.
Your account and API keys
You must be 16 or older. You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep your sign-in and your API keys private: you are responsible for everything done with your keys, and you should revoke a key at once if it leaks. One account per person or company: do not create extra accounts or split work across accounts to get around limits or to collect free credit again.
Balance and payment
fast.video is prepaid. You add money to your balance by card (minimum $10) and each video is charged from it when it starts, at the price per second shown on the site; a video that fails is refunded to your balance automatically. Top-ups of certain amounts come with bonus credit, as shown before you pay. Bonus credit and free credit have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are forfeited when an account is closed. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Your balance does not expire while your account is open.
Auto top-up
If you turn on auto top-up, you authorise us to charge the card saved at your last card payment for the amount you chose whenever your balance falls below the threshold you set, up to the monthly limit you set. You can change or turn off auto top-up at any time on your account page. If a charge fails, auto top-up turns off and we email you.
Price changes
We can change the price per second. If it rises, we email account holders at least 14 days before it applies and show the new price on the site. Money already on your balance is never reduced, but videos started after the change cost the new price per second.
Discounts and promotions
Bonus credit and promotional prices apply as stated in the offer. Where a price is compared with another price or service, that price is a reference for comparison. Offers can end at any time; credit you have already received is honoured.
Fair use and limits
To keep the service healthy for everyone we apply queue order, rate limits and limits on how many videos can be in progress at once, and may slow heavy use during busy periods. The limits are shown in the documentation and can change with notice there.
Your content
You own the videos you make, subject to the licences of the underlying models. To improve the service and build our own models, we may use your prompts and the pictures and videos the service makes for you. We never use the faces or voices of real people you upload for training, and we never sell your content or give it to other companies to train on, except as required or permitted by the terms of the AI model providers that generate your videos. You can opt out of training by emailing [email protected]; deleting content or your account stops it going forward. Finished videos are kept for 7 days and uploads for 24 hours, then deleted: keep your own copies. Videos are AI-generated: where the law requires, say so to your viewers, and do not remove provenance data or AI-generation markers from the files. Do not make content that is illegal, that impersonates real people without consent, or that depicts minors in a sexual way. We may remove such content and close the account.
What you upload
You are responsible for everything you send to the API: prompts, photos, reference pictures, sound and voice tracks, characters and likenesses. By sending it you confirm that you own it or have the rights and permissions needed to use it this way, including the consent of any real person whose face, voice or likeness appears, and that using it with our service does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights. Theseus does not check uploads for rights and takes no responsibility for them; if a claim arises from your uploads, you will cover it. We may remove content or suspend an account on a credible complaint. Rights holders can write to [email protected] with details of the content.
Your users
If you build fast.video into an app or service that other people use, you must give them terms at least as protective as these terms and our Acceptable Use Policy (including the limits on content, intellectual property, AI disclosure and consent for people shown in pictures), moderate their use, stop anyone who breaks them, and you are responsible for what they do through your account. You may build our features into your own products, but you may not resell or sublicense access to the API itself, or a substantially unchanged copy of it, without our written permission.
Acceptable use and content review
Do not use the service to make or share content that is sexually explicit, that sexualises or endangers minors, that is hateful or harassing, that shows gratuitous violence or torture, that impersonates a real person in a way that could mislead or harm them, that infringes someone else's rights, or that is otherwise unlawful. Do not try to get around our content filters, rate limits or sign-up checks, and do not scrape, probe or overload the service. The full rules are in our Acceptable Use Policy.
We may review what you send and what the service makes for you, by automated checks and by our staff, for support, safety, abuse prevention and to enforce these terms. Review for support happens when you ask for help or when something fails; review for safety and abuse can happen at any time. We may remove content, limit features, hold or reverse credit obtained by abuse, and suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity. Bonus and free credit on a suspended or closed account is not refunded. Creating a new account after a suspension is itself a breach. Where the law requires it, we may report content or accounts to the authorities. If you think we got it wrong, write to [email protected] and we will look again.
Copyright complaints
To report content that infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with the details, what you own and how to reach you. We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Our content
The documentation, sample videos, website and API design are ours. Do not copy or resell the service.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous three months.
Analytics and email
We keep the records described in the Privacy Policy, and may email account holders about the service, their balance and their payments. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect and note the new date here. Using the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
